I had the great opportunity to attend the Split Tech City Festival, a two-day event in Split, Croatia. It brought together technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders. The festival, held on September 8th and 9th, had a roster of remarkable speakers and thought-provoking panels that left an indelible impression on me.
Day 1 of Split Tech City Festival: The Unveiling of Insights
The first day was a whirlwind of thought-provoking panels and illuminating lectures. Each provided a fresh perspective on the ever-changing environment of technology and business. Here’s a closer look at some of the important highlights:
- The “DUMP PANEL: Zašto i kako (ne) počinjati karijeru u IT sektoru tijekom krize?”. Panel examined the complexities of launching a career in the IT sector during difficult times. This panel gave a path for those managing the intricacies of the IT industry during crises, with presenters Antonio Perić-Mažar. Nataša Kapov Kostovski, and Dunja Ivana Ballon.
- Secondly in the “PANEL: Evolucija odgovornosti – od juniora do seniora” industry veterans Ante Dagelić, Mensur Duraković, and Ivan Listeš discussed the transition from junior to senior jobs in the computer industry. They talked about the changing responsibilities and skill sets needed for career advancement.
- Biljana Cerin took the stage with “Cybersecurity: Kako izgraditi međunarodnu karijeru iz Hrvatske”. She shared her insights into the exciting field of international cybersecurity careers and how professionals can leverage opportunities from within Croatia.
- The future of technology was explored in “AI i budućnost: Alat, prijetnja ili oboje?” by Ivan Biliškov. His deep dive into the field of artificial intelligence left listeners contemplating the far-reaching ramifications of AI as both a tool and a potential threat.
- With “Što bih poručio mlađem sebi?” Antonio Perić-Mažar provided essential wisdom that resonated with people of all ages and phases of their careers.
Day 2 of Split Tech City Festival: Navigating the Technological Frontier
The second day of the festival carried on the enthusiasm, providing a new viewpoint on the ever-changing tech landscape:
- “PANEL: Am I Too Young to Be Taken Seriously?” was presented by Ron Brumbarger, Blaž Perić, Ivana Perić, and Suzana Špika. They convened to explore the particular issues encountered by young people in the IT business. The panelists emphasized the importance of self-belief and determination.
- Mirela Petrović and Antonio Perić-Mažar took part in a fireside chat titled “FIRESIDE CHAT: Get Ahead of the Game!”. They presented their wealth of views and experiences on staying ahead in the dynamic tech scene.
- The “PANEL: International side of Split” featured speakers Jan Bodnar, Geoff Bratton, Sara Dyson, and Piero Palevsky. It highlighted the city’s potential as a worldwide tech powerhouse. They emphasized Split’s expanding tech ecosystem’s international component.
- Andreas Spechtler took the stage to share “Key Success Factors for Worldwide Tech Business”. He provided a worldwide perspective on the critical variables driving success in the IT industry.
- In “The Future of Marketing” Aleks Jakulin investigated the future of marketing, providing a glimpse into the new methods that create the tech-driven marketing landscape.
- Finally “How Embracing Setbacks Shows You the Way Forward?” by Ivan Burazin was a highlight moment for me. He underlined the necessity of accepting setbacks and failures as part of the journey to success. He emphasized that failure is a stepping stone, a skill to be cultivated, and a monument to tenacity.
The Spirit of Innovation in Split
The Split Tech City Festival was more than simply an event. It was a celebration of creativity and a monument to the seemingly limitless possibilities of technology and entrepreneurship. It demonstrated Split’s potential as a dynamic tech hub and served as a reminder that the tech world is ever-changing.
At the same time, participants could learn from remarkable speakers who offered their experiences, thoughts, and journeys. The stories of tenacity, endurance, and learning from failure made an indelible impression on the audience. Finally, it pushed them to think on their own paths and contemplate fresh ways to obstacles.
The Split Tech City Festival, as well as the inspiring speakers, gave me a fresh sense of purpose and commitment. I couldn’t help but think on my own experience as I listened to stories of tenacity, perseverance, and learning from failure.
As has been noted this festival was a catalyst for personal and professional development. It encouraged guests to investigate emerging technology trends, make useful connections, and embrace the ever-changing nature of the technology industry.
